This is a Norfolk Southern Weaver GP38 non-powered (dummy) \"O\" 3 rail locomotive (cab #4160). This was purchased new about 15 years ago. It was on display on a layout that was under construction but not powered up or near completion. Unfortunately someone burglarized my home and this locomotive was dumped in a pillow sack with other new locomotives causing some degree of minor damage to all of them. That destroyed my desire to set anything up.
Everything went into storage.
If you look at photo 4 I have tried to capture some of the white paint marks on the left side of this locomotive. There are a few more down the left sill.
Not as bad as the close up makes it look but it is definitely there and I have not attempted to clean it. The hand rails and air horn were not on the engine so they were not harmed.
Loco is dusty though I cleaned it up somewhat.

The couplers both function but the coupler on the \"B\" end does not seem to spring open or spring closed but will work manually...in other words, you can close it and push up the coupler pin and reverse that action to uncouple.
The fuel tank apparently snaps into the chassis with four tabs. One of these was cracked during the burglary. I have put a dab of \"super glue\" on this and the other 3 tabs as the tank was slightly loose.
The box is in very good condition.
