This is one more of my son\'s violins that he is parting with. Violins from his collection were there because he felt they had an exceptional sound. This fullsize violin is labeled Henri Farny & Cte Paris , France. The violin has a ebonized scroll with a nicely flamed two-piece back, ribs, neck and scroll. The only repairs are two short saddle cracks one each end of the saddle. the top is finely grained. The nut and saddle both appear to be ivory. My son is partial to Frecnh violins and rarely lets one leave his collection. He feels this violin has a Strong, mature tone with very good projection.
