Fantastic life size Merrythought Marvelous sitting cat with blue grey mohair.This rare Merrythought cat was made by Merrythought between the 1930\'s and 1950\'s
and is a large sitting cat with a jointed head and is made from blue grey mohair plush and
stuffed with a mixture of kapok and wood wool with velvet inside his ears. He is a life size
cat sitting at 14\" tall from his front paws to the tips of his ears and his jointed head means
he can be nicely posed and his inset green glass eyes with slit cats pupils give him a lifelike
appearance. He is in overall very good condition with all his original features intact.Merrythought made these cats in a range of colours including black, champagne cream
and white but this cat has a wonderful grey mohair with a strong blue tinge and he has a
very good overall coverage with just some slight thinning and a couple of bare areas on his
left shoulder, the backs of his ears and head and a patch on his forehead but the remainder
of his plush is thick and lush with no fading to the colour.All of his original features are intact including his pink painted nose, horse hair whiskers
and green glass eyes and he has a printed Merrythought Hygenic Toys label which dates him
from the late 1930\'s to the mid 1950\'s when the wording on the label changed.Please view all the photos, which can be enlarged to assess his condition for yourselves
