Unusual childs musical cat muff, German - Steiff? Jopi? Circa 1920\'s.This sale is for the fabulous 1920\'s heart shaped pussy cat, childs hand muff, as shown in the photos.
There are no labels and I am not sure of the manufacturer but she looks German to me and was possibly made
by Steiff or Jopi? She also has a working musical squeeze mechanism although I am not sure of the tune.The heart shaped muff is 8\" tall and 10\" wide and stuffed with kapok and the interior is lined with velvet and
has the musical squeeze mechanism in the back piece so that you can play a tune whilst keeping your hands warm
The cats head is stuffed with wood wool with the original green glass cats eyes and pink nose and mouth stitching.
It has been loved with about 50% mohair remaining and a couple of tiny holes in the backing fabric but i have never
seen another cat muff like it and it would display beautifully, placed in the lap of a large bear.
