~.~ Miniature Fully Jointed Squirrel ~.~ is a new five way jointed miniature piece for 2014. The little squirrel stands 2 1/4\" tall. He is made from hand tinted upholstery velvet with ultra suede paws, feet and ears. His face and body are subtly detailed to give him a perky character. Eyes are bright onyx beads. The nut cart is Janie-made from a large walnut, with stationary acorn wheels and decorated with apple twigs and tiny acorns. The inside of the cart is \'upholstered\' with vintage autumn leaves. The large hand embroidered green acorn is one of Janie\'s garnet and wool filled acorn emeries. The terrible fires in Washington State have been a nightly news feature for the past two weeks; sadly, over 300 homes have burned. Janie is pledging the full amount realized from this sale to: Victims Assistance Fund

I’m Janie Comito, designer, collector, artisan and appreciator of lovely and fanciful objects. I love creating \'ensemble pieces\' by creating a piece that \'goes with\' a vintage collectible. I have been known Internationally for 35 years for my miniature teddy bears and other animal and bird designs. I am also known for my sewing collectibles. Most of my offerings are one offs and all my creations are meticulously designed and hand sewn by me; they are made as beautifully as I can contrive to create them. I hope they speak to your heart as they spring from mine. They make terrific gifts for someone you love who simply loves beautifully crafted pieces ~ like you!
