MECHANIZED SPACE ROBOT ROBBY TIN JAPAN NOMURATN CO. BATTERY OPERATED

This sale is foran original Mechanized Space Robot, battery operated tin toy made in the 1950’sby Nomura TN in Japan. This is anexcellent example of the real Robby in great condition. This Robby has the rare knurled brass battery knobson his legs. The robot has a verybrilliant sheen to the black paint, and both battery compartments (on each leg)are very clean. The wheels are original his right wheels have some flat spots from standing and right battery door has two small dents top left edge. Possible retouch around both knurled knobs. His legs move him alongand his green mouth piece lights up. Hewalks straight for a while then he starts his turn and walks back to aboutwhere he started! His feet and wheelsare clean with some rubbing on bottom. Both hands are attached and look killer. The face dome for this toy is made ofplastic and is a perfect replacement.

This space robot isan amazing addition for any robot, space, battery op., tin toy collector. This robot is not only fun to play with butis simply a perfect addition to any display case

This tintoy was tested on 12-4-2014 and WORKS– He lights up and walks – needs new band which is a very easy fix! Once replaced he will have the rotating pistonsas his mouth, and antenna will spin – currently not functioning.

Height = 13” (ground to dome)

Length = 4 ¼” (chest to back)

Width = 6 ½” (hand to hand)
