Original U.S. Army Mills Model 1907 field suspenders, as worn with cartridge belts during the Punitive Expedition and World War I. All bronze metal loops are marked \"MILLS PATENTED NOV. 7, 05, JULY 2, 07\" on one side and \"MILLS WOVEN CARTRIDGE BELT CO WORCHESTER, MASS\" on the other side. Straps also marked \"G 11\" and \"MILLS\" on one and \"2-108\" on the other. This variant or experimental pattern differs from the standard Model 1907 with the addition of an adjustable cross strap, keeping the straps from sliding off the shoulders. There is a name written in ink across the cross strap; looks like \"SHELTON.\" As most gear was during that era, these are small; the maximum length, from front to rear hooks, is about 33 inches. All original, in very good condition, with no fraying.
