ORIGINAL AAF GROUPING - ORIGINAL TO THE TIME - NOT A COPY, REPRO OR RECENT PRINT

QUANTITY: Many items (see below) - See the original World War II and aviation photos I have listed.

ITEMS: Original big grouping all from Sergeant Paul Kane, 35534247, 466th Bombardment Group, 8th Air Force, AAF, England, 1943-1945. Kane was on the air crew of a B-24 Liberator bomber in the 466th Bomb Group. Originally from Campbell, Ohio, he trained at several air bases in the US and then was based in England. Included are the following: TWO AAF PATCHES, two corporal stripes, TWO SERGEANT STRIPES, two overseas stripes for a year of overseas service, ONE BOMBARDIER PATCH (normally a lieutenant would be bombardier, so I am not sure if Kane was a bombardier or not), One brass US collar disc, ONE NAMED PAUL KANE 466th BOMB GROUP ASSOCIATION PIN, one 5.5\" diameter hand-embroidered heraldic eagle felt patch probably hand made by Paul\'s wife Dorothy, KANE\'S ORIGINAL STATESIDE DIARY (3\" x 4.5\" with many entries on many pages. Most entries are names and addresses of airmen he trained with and brief notes about when he moved to a new base, etc.), Original two page AAF PERSONAL AFFAIRS STATEMENT DOCUMENT with Kane\'s personal info, SN, etc dated 1945, NORWICH ENGLAND PIN, Short History of Norwich England Booklet, US ARMY SHORT GUIDE TO GREAT BRITAIN MANUAL HE GOT FROM ANOTHER AIRMAN, Packet of commercial photos of Westminster Abbey, POCKET MAP OF THE UNITED STATES, Servicemen\'s map of the United States with armed forced insignia on one side and map of the US on the other side (Kane marked his travels as he trained for the AAF at verious air bases), SEVEN POSTCARDS WRITTEN BY KANE TO HIS WIFE DOROTHY FROM VARIOUS AIR BASES IN 1943, Two birthday and anniversary cards, TWO V-MAIL SENT FROM KANE TO DOROTHY WHILE HE WAS IN ENGLAND, 17 postally unused postcards from places near his air bases, FOUR POSTCARD FOLDERS, several small newspaper clippings, ONE 7\" x 11\" SON IN SERVICE WINDOW FLAG (creased, but could be ironed out), 466th Bomb Group Association letter to Dorothy, SANTA FE RAILROAD MAP OF THE US, One Douglas Airview News Newspaper from July, 25, 1944 (tron front page), ONE POST WAR ATTLEBRIDGE NOTES 2004 SUPPLEMENT, two recent American Legion Magazines addressed to Paul Kane, FOUR 8th AIR FORCE NEWS MAGAZINES ADDRESSED TO PAUL KANE. I bought all this together at a local sale. What you see in the pictures is what you get.

PLEASE NOTE: Separately I have a few RARE 466th Bomb Group history booklets listed from Sergeant Paul Kane. These are more general than personal and require separate listings to adequately show their content. So they are not included in this grouping, but are listed separately.
