Span American War US Khaki Tunic. I believe this to be 1901 with Spec. No. 551 as the top pockets are higher on the coat than the Spec. No 467 & 471 . Some have told me it\'s a M1898 or M1899.
Great condition with no holes, rips or tears. Does have some light staining.
It features a turned down collar, pointed cuffs, pleated breast pockets and buttons are gilt (Buttons are marked \"Steele & Johnson\".). Insignia is what came with it when I bought it.
Buttons are attached to tunic with metal rings (see photo).
