Up for sale is a good used m1951 fishtail Parka with attached hood and heavy liner (removable). The size is medium, but was designed to fit loose. I didnt notice any holes or tears. The stamped-on label that was on the liner is faded. I did research this liner to find that it is 60% wool and 40% cotton. The cotton is shiny with a tight weave...maybe sateen?. Sateen cotton is commonly used in bed sheets for silk-like comfort, durability, and nice looks. There are a couple of stains on the shiny side of the liner, the woolside looks good. The zipper works but is tight and needs to be wax treated. All the snaps and brown buttons are intact. For extra warmth an additional fur hood can be purchased seperately(also marked m1951). The Parka does have all its labels and readable. This coat is heavy duty, made by the Reading MFG., Company, in November of 1952.
