original world war two wool blue star service pennant for two soldiers overseas. pennant measures 28 inches and has the photos of brothers james and john simmons of irving texas in their dress uniforms before going overseas. pennant has nice original color and is in good condition with a couple of small wear holes. i was able to purchase from the estate the world war two belongings and paper work of both brothers. james simmons on the right was a highly decorated u.s. navy pilot who flew with navy bomb squadron two. i have his log books and he flew bombing missions for the iwo jima invasion. sadly one of these stars was to turn gold later in the war when john simmons a pilot with the 417th bomb group was killed in action over luzon. this is a fine piece of world war two history. 4.00 shipping softly rolled and boxed. paypal or contact for options. good luck. mike
