Here is an original WWII KA-BAR USMC fighting knife and its original sheath. This is a mid-late WWII example with a large USMC mark, thick rectangular peened pommel and dark parkerized finish. The knife is in very good condition overall. The blade has been lightly sharpened at some point, but it retains nearly all of its original parkerized finish. The has finish has some mild discoloration and scratching in a few spots along the edge and just a touch of high edge wear near the tip. The guard and pommel have a decent amount of their original parkerizing.They are both tight and have some finish wear and light cleaned oxidation. The tang is connected to the pommel with its original peen. The leather handle is crack free and solid. It does have some darkening, scratches, light wear, marks, and an ever so slight bit of tiny wiggle in a couple washers if you try and twist them. The sheath is nice overall and is crack free and supple. The leather has its original finish throughout and only has some minor discoloration. The stitching is solid. The strap snap is fully intact on both sides and works. The knife measures 12\" overall, and the blade measures 6 7/8\". --
