Orvis Split Bamboo Casting Rod with Aluminum Featherweight All Angle Handle

Here is a seldom seenOrvis one piece split bamboo casting rod with a fully functional earlyaluminum Featherweight all-anglehandle. Rod measures 6' when assembled. The dark impregnated cane shaft is 64" and is straight and light at only 2.4 ounces. Serial number 23285 dates this rod to March 23, 1958, made by George Reid and Calvin Skinner at the Manchester, Vermont U.S.A. facility. Rod and handle appear to have had little use. All of the guides and wraps are original and tight. Note the swelled butt. Comes with a lightly soiled canvas sack with aluminum tube and inner bag, and a flap for the handle. Will ship in a sturdy tube. A choice and rare package, ready to fish or add to your collection!
