This is an interesting pair of Sarreguemines secessionist \"Crave\" vases ofwhich:
During our research we have been informed they certainly date from 19th century.
Dates c1880s.
Underneath the Sarreguemines incised marks and marks.
Dare c1880s.
Numbered underneath: 1364.
Of a french origin.
Pottery.
After Dr Christopher Dresser.
Pair of majolica secessionist \"Crave\" vases with:
the stylised elephant handles.
Raised decoration of dots around the circumference to the tops and shoulders.
Other decoration centrally.
Majolica blue underneath which continues internally.
Each has an overall height of about 8.5inches.
Each having an overall max dia of about 5.75inches.
Base dias of about 3inches.
Open tops of about 2.5inches.
Condition: Considering the age, the overall condition to both is:
one is very good and has a chip to the top rim only with:
the other:
having early poorrestoration to the top area with the raised dots around the entire circumference of:
with a minor glaze chip to the base edge.
