Several years ago, I was lucky enough to acquire a small amount of original Ideal Playpal doll appliqués. I made a couple of Shirley Temple Playpal dresses and a couple of Penny Playpal dresses and sold them on back in the early 2000’s before the Danbury Mint versions of the dolls came out. Since I am a teacher, I only made and sold them during one summer vacation. Now I am retired so I started making the dresses again!
I have at least one of every appliqué but I also have color variations of them. I’m not sure if these color variations were ever sold on dolls by Ideal. I will be making dresses with both the original appliqués and the color variations of the original appliqués. I will use vintage fabrics of that era (1950-60’s) when I have it, otherwise I will have to use the modern day equivalent. Patti Playpal reproduction ribbons on the Patti dresses and Shirley Temple reproduction pins on the Shirley dresses will be included while my supply lasts. If you would like me to list a dress without the ribbon (for example for a Patti dress will be going on a Shirley Playpal doll) please let me know because I can do that too but the ribbons are easily cut off. All dresses will come with my “Ready-Made Repros by Sharon L.” label.
Shirley Temple doll is NOT included. She is only my model since I sold my Patti and Penny Playpal dolls a few years ago.
Dresses will be shipped in a small flat rate box to keep shipping costs down. Ironing instructions, if needed, will be included.

Any questions, be sure to ask!This dress is made of a really pretty vintage lilac and white organdy with white cotton lace. The attached slip and panties are made of white taffeta and cotton lace. It also has an attached reproduction Patti Playpal ribbon. This appliqué has more blue on it than the original dresses that I\'ve seen so I am calling it a color variation. You can see the difference in the picture comparing the two appliqués. I don\'t know if this color variation was ever actually used. The dress is open in the back to make it easier to take on and off by putting less stress on the arms.
