This is an\"Atomic age\"DECOall tube radio and yes is working and very nice deep tones.The gorgeousOlive Greencolor Cabinet and metal chassis are allFactory original M- C582mfg. RETROc-1955.
This is anAtomic Agegreatworkingradio.This was well cared for,with little age wear on the cabinet, only a few minorwear marks on the bottom, from years of useas shown in the photos,however no cracks,dings or hairlines!
One of thecoolestlookingand hard to find Atomic agedesignswith the large facade & grill area with large controls,and brass inserted dials & logo!There is no fading on the side dial station numbers, a very common issue on these models however not on this gem!! This one isworking strong asit did right from the factory from the 50s,for theavid puristradioenthusiastand collector that prefers original Un-restoredsets,only the filter caps were replaced for optimum performance and continued flawless operation!
This radio plays with strong cleanBIGsounding audio,nostatic,or hum,super selectivityfrom the 5tube designwith AM band only!.The chassis is ametal type with a sealed circuit construction,and has a very nice inrush surge protection circuitthat is a tube saver (allow 30 seconds for warm up) & retains all 5 tubes tested strong,and original ceramic capacitors and the power cord has a little age stiffness and safe for use.If you value original condition un-restored workingobscure Atomic Age models from the 50sthis one is for you! Fully tested and awaiting a new home or office!
