Phillipson Fly Rod
Vintage Phillipson \'Royal Wand\' 8\' fly rod. Two piece burgandy fiberglass, model RWF80, 3 3/8 oz. Line weight marked, HDH -#6. Both sections are the same length and with scarlet and gold windings. Cork grip with lock down metal reelseat. Made in Colorado, circa 1970\'s. In original Phillipson marked gold aluminum tube withoriginal bag with 3M tag. 3M bought Phillipson in 1972.
Beautiful original finish. All windings are original and complete. Beautiful cork. Reel seatdoes not appear to ever hadareelmounted.
Rod is in excellent cosmetic condition,unfished.All original and dead straight.
Perhaps the best fiberglass rod ever madeand a very lightweight and rare 8 footer.
