The shell casing measures 14 3/4\" x 2 1/2\"...slightly tapered upward....
Includes the solid iron \"top\"....have to be careful! See pics.
Shell case reads on the bottom \"WNY 1905\".....
There is a brass rim around the iron \"top\" ....reads...\"EPF\"....with other marks. See pics #8 & 9...
The image on the shell casing is two large palm trees and a smaller \"village\" image.
This might be from the soldiers who served in the Philippines...
There was fighting there after the Spanish American War. (1898-1902)
Whoever did this was quite artistic.
