Here is a hard to find version of the Model 912. This one is well used and has the factory installed 9 pin socket. All wiring is factory, so the 9 pin socket was not installed as an after market accessory. I have used it for a year or so and it usually works just fine. Problems with inconsistent readings on some 9 pin tubes have happened. Instead of a normal \"good\" reading, the meter will read very high. I think the problem is that the 9 pins socket is worn out from use and the pins are not making good consistent contact. I tried using a tube straightener adapter but still did not solve the problem. Some 9 pin tubes test fine and other types don\'t. You buy this tester that way. The Tube Setting roll is new old stock and in very good condition. I left the plastic cover off as it was hard to read through. It is included, so you can install if again if you wish. Several paper tube settings booklets are included. All good data is available on internet for the most recent tubes. The power cord is a replacement. The cast is solid and not too bad in appearance.
