Quack Medicine : The \"NeuVita Oculizer\"
A remarkable device from the 1950s designed to \"exercise\" the eyes and promote perfect vision (!). In use the cups in photo A are applied to the eyes and rotated whilst the cups at the opposite end (B) apply pressure and suction to the eyeballs as the rubber bulbs are squeezed and released. The device is in good (working!) order and I note only that the small rubber belt which allows both eyeballs to rotate at the same time is missing (easily replaceable if needs be). It comes in its original mailing box with its original 6-page typewritten instruction manual, test sheets and a letter to the original owner (one end of the cardboard box is missing).
