Description A fine quality largematching pair of English antiquesolid sterling silvercandlesticks by the famous silversmiths Elkington & Co, and with full English silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1914.Handsome genuine103 year old sterling silver pair, beautiful early 18th Century shape andcomplete with their original same-dated removable silver sconces. The bases are typically weighted for stabilityand they have old green baize coverings on the undersides. Importantly there are no added engraved personal inscriptions or monograms.Lovelyheavy pair, they weigh approx. 885grams, (including size, they measure approx.7.85 inches (198mm) inches in height and are 4.45 inches (112mm) x 4.45 inches (112mm) across the bases.
Date English antique solid sterling silver with a full set of silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1914(date letter \"p\"). Good matching hallmarks on both sticks and both sconces, so guaranteed all original.

Condition Good condition and ready to be used.No solder repairs and no nasty knocks or dents, only minorlittle shallow age-related surface bruises/dents from normal use, really nothing much at all. Just2 tiny wear holes and a small dent on one rim, see close-up photo. For a genuine antique silver pair they are pretty clean.Beautiful 18th Century shape and complete with their original removable silver sconces, littletight split on one.
