This listing is for a1950\'s BATTERY OPERATED HOOPY THE FISHING DUCK as shown. It is in good working order. Overall condition is fair / average. Mechanism is strong. Tin litho, plastic, fur and cloth are nice and clean. Hoopy\'s feet are reproduction rubber, flexible and soft as new. There is some corrosion in the battery box and the battery door is not correct for this toy ads can be seen in photo\'s. The 7 correct actions of this toy are as follows: (1) Eyes light up, (2) Right arm drops fishing pole in hole and raises up with a fish, (3) Head moves back and forth 3 or 4 times in approval, (4) Ducks mouth opens and closes, (5) Duck makes a quacking sound, (6) Left arm lifts and removes fish from pole, (7) Electro-magnet in left hand drops fish in basket. (fish slide back into river) Process is repeated. A very cute toy to watch. One of the original tin litho fish is included. Please note that there is some litho that is peeling off the tin fish. This fishing Duck has one more action (mouth opens and closes) than the more common fishing Panda or Polar Bears. This is a \"MADE IN JAPAN\" toy listed in Don Hultzman\'s book, COLLECTOR\'S GUIDE TO BATTERY TOYS, copyright 2002, second edition. It is listed on page 93. It is a 1950\'s era toy made by theAlpsCo. Ithas a rarity of 8 on a scale to 10 being the rarest, and a value of $600.00 in C-10 condition.This toy would make a nice addition to anytoy collection.
