Rare 8mm Home Movie Film Reel Lot Scotland England Canada US War Time, Post War
Price: US $26.00

There are four reels of film in this lot 8mm Home Movie Film Reel Lot!!!!!! Up for sale is an
(1) Important dignitaries in London England on a Veterans Day are filmed. Two very important dignitaries (one of which might be Viscount Montgomery; on the right), laying wreath at Veterans site near Big Ben and the Tower of London. Vintage England Black and White, about 100 feet long and housed on a 200 foot reel. I cannot determine the age but the beginning of the film has severe curl, then further into the reel, it has moderate and then finally a light curl. Definitely worth preserving but most be projected with care and best to condition and put through a viewer prior to projection to check the splices. How the photographer gained access to the events is unknown. My best estimate would be that this was 1951 as, \"Kiss Me Kate\" was a play appearing in London at that time. Again, an educated guess. The film eventually turns to color from Black and White about half way through. The location of the color footage is not apparent to me as of yet, but it appears to be partially a short vignette of a Glasgow Scotland. Eventually a plane flight, possibly across the Atlantic . It is my believe that this reel alone would see for more than this sale is asking, if sold separately.
(2) Vintage Gaspe and Quebec on a 1940s 200 foot reel. Rare and classic Canadian images. I have had this reel for about thirty years and it is very well done. Goes into New York State. Initially, black and white footage and back and forth from color to black and white at least one more time. It is my believe that this 200 foot silver color reel and the film contents would sell for $49 alone, if listed separately.
(3) Rare Wartime, 1942, St Lawrence Seaway and Richilieu Trip. Canada Steamship Lines vessel filmed as well as interesting views along the water and in the city. 50 feet of color film housed on a 200 foot reel. It is my believe that this partial reel would sell at $29 if sold separately.
(4) A road trip inside a mid 1960s Chrysler Imperial. You see the Imperial hood ornament and neat shots out the front often as well as the Green Hornet kind of rear of the car and emblem. Looks to be above the Great Lakes. Lots of signs along the way indicating points of interest and history. Circa late 1960s. Approximately 150 feet of color housed on a 400 foot reel of film in a matching green period can. It is my believe that this reel would sell for $19 if sold separately.FREE SHIPPING! THANK YOU!
