Rare Antique ‘Eduardo’ Josef Pitrmann (JOPI) Pink Musical Teddy Bear/Teddybär

Description:

Exceedingly rare antique \'Eduardo\', a fine Musical Teddy Bear by Josef Pitrmann (Jopi).

Excelsior-stuffed body with very long pile frosted pale pink mohair, amber and black glass eyes, pronounced muzzle, black horizontally stitched nose, mouth and three claws on paws, swivel head, jointed at shoulders and hips, small hump to back, long curved arms with elongated hands and feet with beige feltpads, pink neck ribbon, bell to chest and pressure-operated musical mechanism in bear\'s tummy.

Made in Germany by Josef Pitrmann (Jopi) circa 1920-1930\'s.

Absolutely original and complete. Musical mechanism works very well and sounds great however it seems a bit out of tune. Very slight wear and fading with somewhat uneven color showing slightly cream areas to muzzle, belly and around pads (see picture #7.) and darker color to the armpits and into the joints. Slightly soiled and worn mohair to muzzle. Two holes in left foot pad have been restored in the past. (see picture #7.) Otherwise, excellent overall condition.
