Picture Size Measures 6.5\" x 4.5\" Inches**Missing Jewels**This is an absolutely gorgeous early 1900\'s Austrian gilt picture frame. The frame is encrusted with faux gemstones, including various colorful, faceted, paste jewels, cabochons, and seed pearls. It is made of gold gilt bronze with a great design and filigree work. The back is signed \"Made in Austria.\" It weighs a total of 1 pound and 11.1 ounces.
Unfortunately, the frame is missing quite a few jewels...please take a close look at the pictures because the missing jewels can be hard to notice from far away because of the great filigree design. Since this piece is over 100 years old, they must have fallen out over time. Everything else about this frame is in great condition besides a tear to the paper liner that would be behind the picture. I would highly recommend finding a jeweler to replace the faux jewels, and I believe this can be accomplished fairly easily by a skilled jeweler for a decent price. I can not find another large Austrian picture frame this nice, bur I have found others selling for $2,000 to 6,000, and with a little work this could be up there as well.
