Up for sale is a striking antique Chinese gilt sterling silver and carved malachite pendant necklace circa 1890-1920. The beautifully carved double-sided pendant features a phoenix and floral design. The work is particularly fine. The pendant is finished with a filigree cap and measures approx 1 3/4\" x 1 1/4\". It hangs on a lovely 18\" long filigree chain and weighs approx 20.2 grams. The underside of the catch is marked \"LIU\" along with two sets of Chinese characters. The condition is very fine with no damage and light wear consistent with age.
