• The height from the bottom of the lantern to the top of the handle is 18 inches. The diameter at the bottom of the font tank is 6 1/4 inches.
• The weight is about5 pounds.
• The age is circa 1900/ 1920. The size, weight and age are approximate.
• The lantern is made predominantly of sheet Brass and retains temnants of the original nickel plating.
• The top of the lantern is signed DIETZ (photo #5).

Condition:

This ANTIQUE DIETZ LANTERN is in good conditionand hasnormal wear andusecharacteristicsthat is Commensurate With Age. You will find intermittent stress cracks and breaks in the brass around the circumferenceof the top section of the lantern (photo #12) and the spring loadedcomponent that holds the top of the globe.Inadditionexpect tofind dust, dirt,soot, dings, dents, scratches, heavy surface oxidation, wear,losses and unsightly blotcheson thenickel plated brass.
