This rare Steiff cat was made between 1913 and mid 1920\'s.
It has its original stenciled stripes, boot button eyes and green painted eccentric wooden wheels.
The left ear has prick holes where its button once was...It\'s coat shows signs of age with a number of tiny (moth?) holes and a patch on it\'s right flank. Please look carefully at the photos !
Its measurements are 6 3/4 \" high excluding ears and 8\" inches long..
The illustration is from a book called \' Steiff sensational Teddy Bears Animals and Dolls\' and illustrates this little cat on page 94 and describes it as \'rare\'!This is charming toy and would be a delightful Christmas present for any cat or early Steiff collector!I will post world wide including the United Kingdom!
