Up for sale is a beautiful Antique Stoneware Jug made by Thomas Commeraw Manhattan, New York. This late 18th early 19th century Ovid gallon stoneware jug is ornamented with cobalt blue filled incised crescents and tassels over impressed makers mark. The marks read, \"COMMERAWS STONEWARE CORLEARS HOOK N. YORK \" It also has cobalt daubed handle terminals. This rare jug measures 11 1/2\" high and 7 1/2\" in diameter. There are no cracks in this jug. The only damage is minor chips on the base from use. It was found years ago in a barn in Old Mystic, CT. Please e-mail any questions. U.S. only thanks!
