RARE ANTIQUE WILD WEST BUCKING BRONCO COWBOY & HORSE TIN WESTERN WINDUP

This sale is forwindup powered tin lithographed Bucking Bronco Cowboy on a Horse – Wild WestStyle tin toy. This toy features similaraction to the Lehman Bucking Bronco – this tin toy has all original parts andworks. The cowboy has a wide brimmedcowboy hat and stern look on his face as he attempts to ride this wildbeast! He has a Bandai around his neckand gloves on his hands to protect them from the rope. The horse is black and white lithographedwith all four original legs (straight) orange saddle and yellow reins/rope itis a palomino/piebald and has a great realistic style and tail. The legs fromthe knee down are separate tin parts with original tabs – great detailingthroughout this toy! The base has all original wheels and the grass green stand makes this tin toy appear to be walking across a field with the bravest cowboy of them all about to challenge a ride for his life - can he make it?!

This competitor climbs onto his horse, which was held to the bucking chute. Now the rider is ready, the gate of the bucking chute is opened and the horse bursts out and begins to buck. The rider attempts to stay on the horse for eight seconds without touching the horse with his free hand. On the first jump out of the chute, the rider must \"mark the horse out.\" This means he must have the heels of his boots in contact with the horse above the point of the shoulders before the horse\'s front legs hit the ground. A rider that manages to complete a ride is scored on a scale of 0-50 and the horse is also scored on a scale of 0-50. Scores in the 80s are very good, and in the 90s, are exceptional. A horse who bucks in a spectacular and effective manner will score more points than a horse who bucks in a straight line with no significant changes of direction. This horse and rider has it all!

This tin toy wastested on 3-30-2015 and WORKS– when activated the horse gallops alongand bucks the rider into the air – but hang on just a darn moment he holds onwhile inverted and is able to regain his seat on this crazy horse – never betagainst a cowboy!The action of this toy is very sensitive and may at times not performflawlesslybut can be fixed and is a gem when displayed.

Length = 6 ¼” (front to rear stand)

Width = 3 ¼” (key to side stand)

Height = 8” (ground to hat)
