This rare Belgian M1880 Comblain and Albini Short Rifle Engineers /Pioneer Sawback bayonet is in very good to excellent condition. The right side of the ricasso of the blade is stamped 1889 for year of manufacture. There are 3 very distinctly stamped proof marks on the ricasso of the blade. The bright steel 18 1/8 inch bright blade is in excellent condition. There is no scabbard with this bayonet. The brass grip has several proof marks stamped on the right side of the pommel. The brass grip retains the original patina. These rare sawback bayonets are seldom seen for sale on .
