For sale is a very rare miniature triple decker clock made by the Birge, Mallory & Co. Circa 1840. The clock has a 30 hour time and strike J. Ives 30 hour strap brass, rolling pinion movement. The movement is stamped B, M & Co. on the front plate.

The label is very nice. The weights are original, but have been overly cleaned. The eagle and feet look like they have been painted over with gold and then “dirtied up”. The center tablet is original, but flaking. The lower tablet looks too good to me. I would call it a nice quality replacement. Look at the photos of the door. You can see what looks like old glazing chipping away. You can decide.

The brass dial was mounted with screws to the weight guides, but didn’t line up well. It is correctly mounted now, but there are 2 holes at the top. They can only be seen with the door open. The upper glass is original.

The clock runs strong and strikes correctly.

Shipping charge includes insurance and shipping the weights in a separte box to avoid damage.

I apologize; I forgot the most important thing about this clock, its size. The case is 27 1/2\" tall by 13 1/4\" wide and 4 1/2\" deep. It is about 2/3 the size of a standard triple decker clock.
