Rare pale gold short mohair Chad Valley teddy bear. Circa 1920\'s
This gold mohair teddy bear stands at 18\" tall and is five ways disc jointed
with all his joints working smoothly and is stuffed with mixture of wood wool
and kapok. His short mohair is a soft golden colour and he has very good
coverage with slight thinning and some small bare areas but because his
mohair was made to be quite sparse these areas are not very noticeable.Ted doesn\'t have a label or button but he has all the characteristics of early
Chad Valley bears with his carded feet and triangular shaped nose with vertical
stitches topped with one horizontal stitch. All of his original features are intact
including his amber glass eyes and his rust coloured, cotton paw pads which
are also in excellent condition with no holes or damage. He also has three claw
stitches on each paw and four on each foot. There is a little bit of glue residue
under each eye and a small, light stain on one pad but he is in otherwise
very good, sturdy condition with no other damage.He is a very expressive bear with a big beaming smile and would make
a wonderful addition to any hug.This early Chad Valley teddy bear is being offered with
