This sale is fora vintage / original highly tin lithographed, battery operated, member of theinfamous Gang of Five skirted robots the Non-Stop Lavender Robot made in Japan byMasudaya, circa 1950’s. This robotboasts a mystery bump-n-go moving action with swinging arms and flashingeyes/ears/mouth. The chest plate hassome beautiful and amazing abstract lithographing on the tin with an overallcolor combination that is simply FANTASTIC to behold. This robot is legendary to all space themedcollectors and was produce in the “Golden Age”, making this robot look morelike a futuristic and exclusive piece of art rather than a mere child’s toy,but what a toy!
The tinlithographing features the lavender color, the head has original ears, eyes andfeatures 5 separate tin parts. Thereis light rubbing and edges as expected from older toys due to box wear andlight use over the years. Front of robothas wear and rubbing as shown, overall very clean, tin lithographing depictsthe gears, pins, wires, and internal workings appears to be visible through thechest and shoulders! On/off switch WORKSand original, left and right arms and claws original – detailing includes tonsof rivets running up and down both arms.Very clean from rubbing from swinging arms, and features themanufactures mark. Back has some edgerubs and light rubs – overall very good condition. Bottom has original four wheels, very littleuse and the battery door is original and very clean inside. Overall this robot is solid and would be aHUGE addition or upgrade for most collections.If you have additional questions please ask prior to offerding. The box for thistin Space Robot is a wonderful reproduction – overall nice box! This robot was originally called the Non-StopRobot, later to be dubbed the Lavender Robot as the box reads Non-Stop. The artwork is stellar with the fatherdrinking his cup of coffee with his arm around his child standing inside of aRocket as the Lavender Robot skirts along a on the martin planet with Earth isin the far distance and another rocket on the right – perfectly normal Saturdaymorning! The colors are vibrant andwarm. Box bottom has no issues.
This Lavender Robotwas tested and WORKSperfectly! The robot features mysterybump & go action, flashing lights radiates from the eyes/ears/mouth, andthe arms swing with “claw” hands that can actually grip and hold objects!
This toy requires extra packing and double-core box - please ask questions before offerding!
