Here we have probably one of the hardest A-2 WW2 flight jackets to find. It is an original WW2 303rd. Bomber Group A-2 flight jacket painted with "Hells Angels" and 25 mission bombs. The bombs each have unreadable names on them, my guess they are city names. The Hells angels is faded, but is easily readable. I got this from the collector who purchased it from the family of the vet. Regrettably the name tab is removed and there are no markings in the jacket to solidly (is solidly a word?)identify this jacket to him. I will include the paper work I got with it, which are all copies. I also do not have the ability to contact the family for more. The pilot is Russell W. Meier. He flew in "Thunder Bird" and served from 12 Sept 1942 through 11 June 1945. I wish I had more, but the jacket alone is rare and you will probably never see on for sale again! The size tag is there, just rolled up, it is a size 40 so it will fit any mannequin. The condition is shown in the photos, despite the looks, it is a solid jacket, the leather is not dry, and could be expertly repaired with a needle and thread if you wanted. I didn't touch it.
