A very rare pair of tallKangxi blue and white vases , rare shape, measuring about 10” in height and4,5” at the mouth. Typical Kangxi flower mark on the bottom. Both are similarin form but different in decoration showing birds, flowers and foliage.Condition is very good. Vase No. 1 has only some chicken bites at the bottom(where the glaze has come off) and a minuscule hair-line on the rim (see photo no.8) in otherwords close to perfect. Vase No. 2 has the same chicken bites and a rim chipplus associated hairline which is about 3” long (photo no.11). Acquired from a Dutch salehouse. Low reserve price for such a pair.
