A fine Toby Jug of classic form (only ultra rare in Doultons Kingsware colourway)
Importantly for collectors I note the silver rim is an in manufacture add on, NOT a repair to a damaged rim as these silver hardware additions often were. The pottery rim has a recessed flange in which the silver sits so we can be confident this is entirely as manufactured. There\'s a faint impression inside the lid I suspect are the original hallmarks that have over time been polished out- a shame as it would have been handy to date the jug.
A wonderful , rare addition to either a Toby jug or Doulton Kingsware series ware collection.
No chipping or cracks. Total height 15cm (not including silver thumb knop to lid.) Weight 575 Grams approx.
