A very rare Sampson Mordan Novelty Silver Owl Pepper Pot or Pepperette . Hall marks for London 1890 and makers mark SM for Sampson Mordan. Novelty solid silver in the form of an owl standing on a rock. Characteristic glass eyes. Hall marks to the edge of the base , the underside and to the top of the screw off lid. Generally in good condition, some slight loss of detail due to slight wear and use. Very rare and hardly ever seen. Approx 3\" high.
