This is an original and rare historical hard-back book (with dust cover)detailing the work of Flash Spotters and Sound Rangers – how they lived, workedand fought in the Great War.
This book came fromthe personal library of a Major Maltby - Royal Artillery - a heavy artilleryexpert and pioneer (215th Siege Battery) in the First World War whoalso served in the Second World War.
I will include a copyof a very early photograph of Maltby in uniform with the book.
It has 308 pages with drawings and illustrations.
It is in superb complete and undamaged condition for its age with just alittle fading and yellowing – with very minor scuffs to the dust jacket..
It was written by John R Innes and published by Allen and Unwin
