RARE FOSTORIA AMERICAN HAIR RECEIVER. This is one the rarest of the rare pieces in this pattern. The all glass one alone is way up there. This has metal mountings. Condition of glass is perfect. The plastic (celluloid?) has a little moisture seepage, also minor cleaning scratches, nothing alarming.It is 3.25\" across and almost 3 inches high. The enamel centerpiece is perfect. The type of work is paint and guilloche, fine machine etched lines. The underside if lid has worn gold paintI can find no records of one that has sold, only one in a collection. I got an email from a member who said it is not a hair receiver as it lacks holed lid. She called it a puff box....Another site shows same box, same mounts as a rare hair receiver......so it\'s what you want it to be....lol! I can\'t revise listing, as it\'s been offer on.....rare it still is.......
