Album from the estate of a pre WWI Navy veteran full of mostly photos and real photo postcards of Rosyln Cle Elum and Ravensdale and vicinity in Washington state. The most interesting real photo postcards are of a mine safety team in a competition at the Cle Elum parade circa 1913-14 and the majority of the same team on site at the Ravensdale mine explosion of Nov 16 1915. This was a serious incident and killed 31 miners. I removed the cards from the album and the are AZO backs that are postally unused the mine rescue practice team has names of the competitors- and they won 1st place. Also some early Navy postcards with his service on the USS Buffalo circa 1912. I have a few more items from this estate in my other sales, plus more railroad and mining items.
