  • How to replace the remote battery?
  1. Locate the battery compartment on the bottom of the Apple Remote.
  2. Using a paper clip or other small, blunt object, press the battery compartment release button and then slide out the battery tray.
  3. Remove the old battery and put the new battery in, making sure that the battery's positive side is facing up. Use only aCR2032 battery in this remote.
     
  4. Slide the battery tray back into the Apple Remote until it clicks. Or watch the video below.VIDEO: How to replace the remote battery?
     You need a pin or any object with a sharpish blunt tip. There is a small round lump at the bottom of the remote. Pressing it with the pin pops the battery compartment out.
