This sword is marked Sauerbrier of New Jersey and is a Model 1850 style Foot Officer Civil War sword. The sword has a very interesting styled blade etching. The hilt is tight but the grip looks to have been rewrapped. Wire all there. Guard has the stand of flags and eagledesign. No scabbard. Check outthe photos! I combine shipping on all my items.

Please look carefully at the photos. This sword has an interesting blade but I am not an expert on this maker. I was basically selling it based on the blade. As mentioned, I feel that the grip is redone and it could be that other parts are not original. Not trying to kill the sale but I want to be up front about this.
