Bearing Edinburgh 1780 hallmarks.
Classic tapering urn beaded trim throughout.
Centre leaf trip oval medallion suspended from ribbon and bow. United by garland streams.
Cover topped with acanthus lobe bud and globe finial. Cascading leaf surround.
Feathered leaf tapering C handle.
The Scottish teapot is 10 inches handle to spout and 9 tall weighs 29 standard ounces.
Hallmarked as shown, no maker.
In fine condition. Rich, lustreous sterling patina throughout. Interior clean as if little used. Stands perfectly firm on table or display shelf. Cover closes flush. Mild wear, few dints lower body and silver strengthening interior to hinge.
