Vintage heavy sterling silver Navajo ring with a rectangular blue natural turquoise stone by famous deceased silversmith Fred Peshlakai. Applied accents include thin and thick twist wire, as well as silver raindrops. The thick tapered band type shank has a four-way split at the terminals and simple geometric stamp work on the sides. Jewelry by Fred Peshlakai is EXTREMELY collectible! This is the third piece of signed Fred Peshlakai jewelry that I have ever found and the first hallmarked ring that I have ever seen!
Excellent quality and very good condition, consistent with its mid-1900’s age. There is a faint matrix related hairline across the stone, but it is hard to see and the stone is stable and secure in its bezel. The ring is hallmarked “FP” inside of a left pointing arrow. Fairly large ring size. This attractive ring could be worn by a man or a woman. LOW starting price. Investment opportunity.
