For size reference I show the quilt in my photographs on an antique doll bed that measures 32\" long by 18\" wide. So cute! (Please note that the dolls and beds shown are not included.) Of course, this lovely quilt has collectible value all on its own as an interesting piece of textile history, and would be quite attractive displayed as wall art in yourshabby chicenvironment.

An er asked me an interesting question. She wondered if this quilt was actually cut from a larger quilt and made into a doll sized quilt. As I explained to her, the cream colored backing material comes from behind and wraps around the edges of the quilt top creating an approximately1/2\" border all the way around.The hand quilting goes all the way through from the front to the back and looks all original and un-tampered with. So, I can say that this example wasNOT cut from a larger, alreadymade quilt, only to have a border added on to finish it off later in a smaller size. This looks all original.
