Description: This sale is for the rare antique cast iron mouse or rat trap pictured. It was sold by N. R. S., Streeter & Co. of Groton NY as the "Knock Out" The idea was granted a patent in 1897 and was issued to Streeter & Anstice. That patent is easy to find using Google. Nelson Streeter hailed from and worked out of Groton NY.Nelson Streeter was a famous maker of cast iron products and novelties in addition to traps. Other products included pressing or sad irons, some p-retty rare, an icepick, a kitchen knife and more. Overall nice condition noting that the spring has been replaced.
