This is for a fabulous super quality French silver dip pen and propelling pencil set in their original display case. The matching handles are a vivid blue guilloche enamel hand painted with cherubs, with one releasing a dove. One of the cherubs has a white flowing ribbon the other a pink one, and down the back of the handles thereis a row of flowers. The handles are mounted ontosilver ends that are flared in a leaf like pattern and finished on top of the silver with gilding. The topsof the handles have mice matching ornate terminals. The pencil propels lead when the nozzle is turned and reverse the action to make the lead retreat. Both the main mounts and the terminals are stamped with the French silver boars head along with a makers mark in a lozenge.Both the pen and pencil arein absolute excellent condition with no damage at all and no wear to the glassy smooth enamel.It looks like they have been stored away and never used for many years. The penmeasures150mm (6\") long and the pencil is 165mm long. The box has a raised and moulded inner base to hold the two items and it is also in excellent clean condition with no light surface wear to the outside only.
