During our research we have been informed theycertainlydate from the early 19th century.
Dates about c1820s.
Of a european origin.
Reliefwooden oak carved face with the gothic carvings of:
centrally the head of a cherub with:
surrounding fruits, scrolling & other intricate carvings.
A further cherub head on a pedestal base to the top.
To the base area: an intricate relief carving of green man which continues to the sides & rear.
To the rear: A large gothic relief carving of the head of the green man with the mane hair.
A gilt bronze nozzle with the winged gargoyle.
Leather bellows with studding.
The bellows have an overall sizeof about 22 x 8inches.
Max depth when closed of about 3inches.
Condition: Considering the age, the overall condition is excellent andis not subject to:
any major blemishes except:
the leather of the bellows needs replacing..
