Description A superbrareEnglish antique Art Nouveau solid sterling silverphoto frame by the silversmiths A & J Zimmerman, in lovely condition and with full English silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1903.Beautiful quality genuine114 year old sterlingsilver frame, definitelynot a modern re-production, with attractive embossed stylised Art Nouveau decoration and complete with its original velvet covered wood backingand hinged easel stand. Also has its protective glass. As a bonus there are no added engraved presentation inscriptions or monograms. Very nice example, hard to find.
Measurements Measures approx. 4inches (103mm)x 3.85 inches (98mm). The actual photo size is 2.25\" in diameter.Date English antique Edwardian solid sterling silver with a full set of English silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1903(date letter \"d\"). Excellent clearstruck marks. There is also a date registration number \"Rd 407152\".Maker Silversmiths initials \"A & JZ\", (A & J Zimmerman).ConditionLovelycondition and ready to be used.No repairs or wear holes, and no nasty knocks ordents, just a few very minor little age-related surface bruises,honestly nothing at all and a very nice example. The velvet covered backingand hinged easel stand are in great condition, just normal age-related sun fading, what you would expect to find on a 114 year old frame. The stand hinge is original, it is lacking the rear retaining catch, but it still closes tightly.Complete with its protective glass. Beautifulstylised Art Nouveau decoration and as a bonus there are no added personal engraved inscriptions or monograms.
